Composition
如何准备作文？• 温习多样化的开头方法和结尾方法
Learn different ways of writing introduction and conclusion.
• 运用常见的成语、惯用语等Use appropriate idioms and proverbs.
• 阅读同学的佳作，学习别人如何写作Learn from model compositions.
• 督促孩子掌握汉语拼音，以方便在考场上迅速翻查词典Ensure that your child is able to use hanyu pinyin properly. This will help him / her use the dictionary more efficiently during the exam.
写作时，孩子们要记得：
• 分段 Write in paragraphs.
• 句子不宜太长 Write simple sentences.
• 字体要清楚 Write neatly.
• 要正确地使用标点符号 Use appropriate punctuation.
其他注意事项• 注意作文的开头和结尾。开头和结尾不宜太长。
Take note of the introduction and conclusion. They should not be too
lengthy.
• 清楚与正确地写出图意/提示的内容。Write out the composition clearly according to the pictures／guiding questions given. Avoid being out of point.
• 尽量使用所提供的参考词汇。Use the helping words given.

Listen to your child when he / she is reading aloud, encourage them to read confidently.
• 同孩子谈话时，鼓励孩子多讲标准华语Encourage your child to speak standard Chinese.
• 用华语跟孩子交谈时，避免参杂英语或方言Use standard Mandarin when speaking to your child. Avoid mixing Chinese with English or dialect.
• 讲话要求简短清楚Encourage and teach your child to be precise and clear in his / her communication.
