Women united in moving South Africa forward T H E U N I O N B U I L D I N G S OF THE WOMEN'S MARCH TO C E L E B R A T I N G The Justice, Crime Prevention and Security Cluster (JCPS) is entrusted to implement the Government’s Delivery Agreement (Outcome 3) aimed at ensuring that “All People Are and Feel Safe”. The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development has resolved to coordinate a uniform Women’s Month Programme in the Western Cape to ensure an effective, speedy and holistic justice service to vulnerable groups and in particular women and children who are victims of violence. The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DOJ&CD) along with non-governmental organizations, the legal fraternity and both religious and community leaders and organizations will be celebrating Women’s Month through a Calendar of Events to be held from 1 August – 31 August 2016. Set against Government’s theme of “Women United in Moving South Africa Forward”, the Women’s Month Celebrations have been divided into four programmes: PROGRAMME 1: JCPS Service Delivery Imbizos will inform targeted communities of their rights in terms of the criminal justice system, with a particular focus on maintenance; Sexual offences and domestic violence matters and will be used as an opportunity to evaluate whether justice services are satisfactory. services are satisfactory.
