The ARC and NHMRC open access policies httpwwwarcgovauapplicantsopen_accesshtm
Rationale for both policies
bull To maximise the benefits from research publications resulting from research activities must be disseminated as broadly as possible to allow access by other researchers and the wider community

ARC and NHMRC Open Access Policies
In a nutshell bull Publication details (metadata) must be submitted to the
institutional repository as soon as possible after the paper is accepted
bull Manuscript must be submitted to the repository as soon as possible after the publication date
bull An open access version of the paper must be available within 12 months of the publication date or as soon as possible after that date
bull If an open access copy will never be available this information must be provided in the Final Report
