Answer: We are the “training arm” of the Alamo Colleges District with locations across the region. What is a “training arm”? Most people know the Alamo Colleges District for our Aca-demic Degree programs which have earned national recognition for the quality educa-tion we provide. As the training arm we provide you with hands-on training that teaches you the skills necessary “to do the actual job”. We study occupations and job projec-tions, and work with employers to capture the relevant, real-world job skills and appli-cations in demand today.

We specialize in Advanced Manufacturing, Healthcare, Business Services, Information Technology and Public Service, all growth industries in San Antonio.

Our instructors are trained professionals, who bring years of experience from their fields. They provide practical insight to your learning experience that prepares you for doing the job well.

We accept everyone with the ability to benefit from our training regardless of how much or how little education you have, how old or young you are, or how much experience you have and there are no tests required to enroll. to become a Real Estate Sales Agent! A sales agent is a person who is licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) to act as an agent on behalf of a real estate broker and their clients. This program provides the 180 classroom hours of qualifying education required before you can apply to become a Sales Agent with TREC. Upon successful completion of the program, you will file an application with TREC*, submit your course completion documents, get your fingerprints taken and pass your background check. A license will not be issued if the background check has not been passed.

Notice: A criminal history may make you ineligible for the license you seek. You may request a criminal history evaluation prior to enrolling in courses or applying for a real estate, inspector or appraiser license. MS EXCEL II 2013 - INMT 1003Experience the world of spreadsheets! Advanced

techniques for developing and modifying spreadsheets. In this course you will address topics that address macro programming features, database functions, merging/linking spreadsheets, data file transfer, and Boolean functions. In addition you will learn how to use templates, import data, and how to customize spreadsheets within the Excel system.

MS ACCESS I 2013 - INMT 1003Enter the database world! Get an introduction to database concepts that include: Program parameters, data dictionary, optional field characteristics, calculations, constant default values, data entry form design, database organization, and report generation.

MS ACCESS II 2013 - INMT 1003Learn how to create and use a data dictionary; use a standard query language to access the database; and link multiple files allowing simultaneous pointers. Learn controlling data entry joining tables, creating action and parameter queries, improving forms, customizing reports, and sharing data with other application such as Excel and Word.

ATTENDANCEIn general, our courses require a minimum of 80% attendance in order for participants to receive a Certificate of Completion from Alamo Colleges District. In some instances courses have attendance requirements beyond this percentage. Students should always make note of attendance requirements at the beginning of a course via their syllabus or direct conversation with the instructor. Be sure to ask about State Regulated courses that require a specific number of hours to qualify for a certification from a credentialing body.

REGISTRATIONThere are two easy ways to register:1. Online (detailed process on page 25).2. Walk–In. Register with any of our regestration specialist located at all five colleges. (M-F. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

PAYMENTPayment must be made 3 business days before class start date. Registration is not complete until payment is made in full.

COURSE CANCELLATIONA course may be canceled due to low enrollment. If a student is a paid student in a course that is canceled, they will receive a full refund within 7 to 10 business days. Alamo Colleges District staff will make every effort to contact and notify the student of the canceled course.

ENROLLMENTMany classes must be limited in size due to the nature of the subject matter and size of available facilities. Although most course training programs are open to students who feel they can benefit from the instruction, some courses are restricted to those students with specific prerequisites. In these instances, program managers will verify that students meet prerequisite requirements.

REFUNDSClasses canceled due to low enrollment will result in a 100% refund. Any student requesting to be dropped or any registration canceled prior to the first day of class will receive a full refund. Student can drop from courses via their student ACES account online prior to the first day of class. Refunds require 7-10 business days to process. Students requesting to be dropped from a course once the class has begun DO NOT qualify for a refund.

CLASS CONFIRMATION & LOCATIONStudents should contact their program manager for class time and location prior to class starting. Students can also check their student detailed class schedule via their ACES account.

1. First Time User? If YES, visit www.alamo.edu/WTN/Register and go to CE Admissions & Registration. Click on the blue ribbon titled “Do you need to complete a CE student admissions profile?” and follow instructions for “First time user account creation.” Submit completed application. For all error messages, call 210-21ALAMO (210-212-5266).

1. To obtain your ACES username and password, call the district IT helpdesk at 210-485-0555 Option 4.

1. Login into ACES account.

2. Select Student tab, then Web Services.

3. Select Student, then Student Account, Make Payment.

4. Click “Make A Payment” then “Virtual Business Office” and select correct CE Term*.

5. Click green Make Payment button. Check “Pay by term” box then Continue. Enter method of payment then continue. Once payment is made, an email confirmation will be sent to your Alamo Colleges student email account. Should you require additional assistance, please visit the Bursar Office website at www.alamo.edu/district/business-office/

2. Click Student (Third tab on the left side of the page).

3. Click Web Services (Under student self service).

4. Click on Student

5. Click Registration.

6. Should you already know your CRN, continue to step 10.

7. Look up classes, then select CE term from drop down menu then submit.

8. Select Subject then hit course search.

9. Click View Sections, place check mark next to desired CRN then Add to Worksheet.

10. Return to Registration. Click Add or Drop Courses. Enter the CRN then Submit changes.
