There are many different aspects of dog training but the main points I would like to talk about today is

the importance of exercise, obedience training, and how

people should socialize with dogs and puppies. I would like to

educate people to keep dogs out of animal shelters and in happy

homes.

• Dogs are naturally meant to walk around and cover large distances.

• All dogs initially come from wolves.

• Wolves cover miles every day hunting for pray.

• Domesticated pet dogs still have the need to cover a lot of ground or get that energy out

EXERCISE

Page 5: By: Natalie Ormond. Teach how to train dogs in a more productive and rewarding way. Dog owner; recently got a lab puppy Everyone has dogs in their lives.

• If you were confined to a small area every day and had no real forms of entertainment you would get very restless.

• Dogs when put in a small area all day have to get rid of their energy for the entire day out while you are home with them.

• Dogs will behave much better if they are tired, as well as listen better to commands and training.

IF DOGS ARE IN A DOG RUN, CRATE OR PLAY PEN ALL DAY THEY WILL HAVE PENT UP

ENERGY THAT NEEDS TO GO SOMEWHERE

Page 6: By: Natalie Ormond. Teach how to train dogs in a more productive and rewarding way. Dog owner; recently got a lab puppy Everyone has dogs in their lives.

• Walking or running your dog is the most common

• Socializing your dog with other dogs; at the dog part

• Playing with your dog

• If that energy is not let out in a productive way it will be let out in a destructive way.

THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT WAYS YOU

SHOULD EXERCISE YOUR DOG

Once you have exercised your dog physically; you also need to

do it mentally

The best time to train your dog is after they have been exercised.

• Dogs natural instinct is to chase

• If a dog is being aggressive the best thing to do is to slowly back away.

• Exercise• Obedience• Socialization

If you put all three of these things into your dog’s life you will have a happy well rounded dog. When your dog is happy; you are happy. If more knew this information there would be
