Sustainability Being able to help then environment by doing small things at times.

Examples:

• Take public transportation.

• Take a shorter time in the shower 5-15 minutes.

• Turn off the water while brushing your teeth.

• Recycle things such as: paper, glass, and plastic.

Recycling

-People can recycle anything that is made of glass, plastic, metal, and paper.

-If people recycle more often than throwing things in the trash, the earth will become a better place. When we recycle we reuse the earth’s natural resources instead of always taking it from the Earth.

Everyday things that you might want to recycle:

• Plastic bottles

• Cardboard boxes

• Light bulbs

Carbon Footprint

A carbon footprint is a measure of the impact our activities have on the environment, and in particular climate change. It relates to the amount of greenhouse gases produced in our day-to-day lives through burning fossil fuels for electricity, heating and transportation etc.
