PHYSICALSEach athlete should have a current physical along with a copy of parent’s insurance card on file at CCHS.

Our first meet at Druid Hills Middle School is Tues. Aug. 25. Athletes must be registered and have a physical on file to be eligible.

Athletes should meet on the indoor track ready to run. Practice is Mon.-Fri., begins at 3:35, and ends ~5:15.

Cross Country Rules Practices are mandatory – conflicts must be

worked out with coaches before practice. One unexcused absence = Suspension from

one cross country meet. Athletes who are tardy must present

appropriate pass upon arriving to practice Report all aches, pains, and other miseries

immediately to the coach. Workouts and recommendations are modified at coach’s discretion.

Injured athletes are expected to attend practice.

Sitting out of practice during the week could result in missing upcoming cross country meet.

Cross Country Rules Wear good running shoes No jewelry allowed during competition. No cell phones or electronic devices during practice. Maintain appropriate behavior in the community, during

school, practice, and cross country meets. Written referrals will be handled by coaches accordingly. The use of alcoholic beverages or any form of illegal drugs

will be handled according to Dekalb County Schools Code of Conduct Policy.

Grades will be monitored throughout the season. Students who fall below a grade of 75 in a course must attend morning or afternoon tutorial.

Athletes are encouraged to ride team bus to meets, and are expected to remain the duration. Athletes that choose not to ride the team bus must be approved by the coach, and are expected to arrive along with the team. Athletes must speak with a coach prior to leaving a cross country meet with family.
