THE CAPITOL BUILDING OF NC

The 2nd building

The 2nd building was a expanded version but

was burned down and they saved 3 things which

were two chairs and a picture. It was burned down by a worker who dropped a ciggaratte

and it burned down the whole building.

Floor 1Floor 1 is used for work purposes. The governors Office, lienutent governors and the staff all work there. It is only for the executive branch.

The Capitol is located in downtown Raleigh near The science museum and Marbles.

Granite

After the 2nd building burned down NC decided to be different and build the Capitol out of granite instead of bricks like most people build their buildings of.

Secret rooms and escape tunnels

At the capitol building there are two secret rooms and a escape tunnel.

FLOOR 2Floor 2 is used as a museum for the Judicial

and Legislative branch who now work across the

street.

George Washington statue

The people at the capitol decided they needed a statue. They decided it would be of George Washington. Since there were no marble carvers around they hired one in Italia. When the pictures got to Italia you could only see the head. So when the statue came back to America George Washington was dressed in Roman war clothes.
