Introduction Snug Harbor Is a Haunted Place in Staten Island.According to many different ghost TV shows like Ghost Adventures and Ghost Hunters. It was founded in 1801 by Robert Richard Randall. It was built as a retirement center for old retired sailors. It is said to be haunted because a Matron that used to work there had an affair with one of the sailors. She found out she was pregnant with a Mentally disabled child. She didnt want anyone to know about her child so she chained him up in the basement of the matron house. One day the child got loose and viscously murdered his mother. When the other people found out about the child they took him and hung him on a tree behind the matrons house. In class we were able to develop two hypotheses. One was If we capture more EVPs at night than it supports the idea that ghosts are more active at night. The other hypothesis was If we capture more responses visual/verbal to men/women, does this mean that ghost have a gender preference.

Methods We investigated two area of snug harbor. The Governors House and behind the Matrons house where the little boy was killed. We spent a half an hour on each area. During the day there were 17 Students who investigated both the house and the tree. During the night there were about 9 students that only investigated the house. We used lots of equipment. The equipment used was a Sony Digital Voice Recorder, A Spirit Box, A Sony HD Night Vision Camcorder, A Digital Camera, A K-II meter, and lastly a Mel-meter. The procedures that we did was a EMF Sweep, EVP session, Spirit Box session, K-II session, Ovilus Session, and Photography.

DISCUSSION So basically if we captured more Evps at night then the day it does support the idea that ghosts are more active at night. The reason is because during the day when one group went up to the attic they didnt hear anything or get any data. But during the night when another group of people went up to the attic they were able to collect evidence of paranormal activity. Although I think that we were able to prove our hypothesis was correct it was not. Our Data was invalid because everything was not measures correctly which was an error. To conclude I would say that Snug Harbor is haunted and there are ghosts there. We were not able to prove that there is paranormal activity during the night then during the day. We did find out that ghosts prefer to speak to males than females.

SUMMARY This was a very awesome experience. I never did believe in ghosts but after the trip I do believe in them. After all the alleged haunted stories about snug harbor I do think that it is haunted because I was able to witness it myself. I no longer think that the stories are fake.
