Introduction

A Stock market or Equity market is a public entity market for trading equities

The Nigerian Stock Exchange is a relatively low source of national revenue compared to Oil and Gas.

Justification

Nigeria’s economy needs to be diversified by developing other sectors (aside Oil and Gas) in order to grow and develop as it should

In order to improve the revenue generation capacity of the Nigerian Stock Market, there is a need to develop new tools for stock analysis as the current tools are too generic, inefficient and error-prone.

Aim

To develop a web application for the Nigerian Stock market that can be used to perform stock market analysis by making effective use of historical and live stock trading data.

Review Of Technical Analysis

Technical analysis is a method of evaluating securities by analyzing statistics generated by market activity, such as last price and volume

Technical analysis believe that the historical performance of stock and markets are indicators of future performance

Examples of technical indicators are :• Simple Moving Average: is used to track the price

movement of a security over a fixed period of time• Bollinger band: are plotted a certain number of

standard deviations away from a central moving average.

Progress reportDONE: Requirement gathering and specification Conceptual design and uml diagram Server side scripting using (PHP) Data base design/ data population using (MySQL) Basic UI using (flex and flash) (In progress) Technical indicator, technical analysis (in progress) TO DO: Complete the user interface and technical indicators User management module user evaluation ( testing) of the final product Beta version rollout

This technical analysis stock trading wed application is going to be used as graphical visualization application for monitoring, analysing and forecasting a stock price in a short term, as well as for suggesting possible trading actions to be taken
