Cell Wall

• What it looks like- The outside wall of a building

• Cells that have it- Plant cells

• Location- Outside the cell, it surrounds the cell

• Function- To keep certain materials from entering the cell, to protect the cell

Cell Wall• If the Cell were a Factory, What Role would the

Organelle have?• The cell wall would be the security at the front

gate. Like the security it lets some people in and keeps others out. The cell wall lets some materials in, but keeps others out

Smooth Endoplasmic reticulum

• What it looks like- Hollowed out coral from the ocean

• Cells That have it- Both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells have it

• Location- It is to the east of the Centriole and south east of the Nucleus

• Function- It creates Carbohydrates and lipids, also produces enzymes, helps contract muscle cells

Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum• If the cell were a factory, What would the

organelle have?• The Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum would have

the job to be the production line because it produces the Lipids and Carbohydrates.
