We have the freedom to think what we like; to voice those opinions, individually to our elected
representatives or collectively in a small or large assemblies. Today freedom of speech, or freedom of expression, is recognized in international and
human right law.
Freedom of speech
As citizens of the United States we enjoy the freedom to worship as we choose or not to worship at all. In the United States, freedom of religion is a constitutionally guaranteed right provided in the
religion clauses of the First Amendment. Freedom of religion is also closely associated with separation of church and state, a concept adrocated by Thomas
Jefferson.
Freedom of Religion
As a good citizen we should always obey the law. Breaking the law does make a person
better. While driving don’t speed. If you see something you want while walking, don’t steal it. If you get mad at someone don’t
harm them. The person may go to the hospital and you may go to jail. Obey all
laws and this will make you a good citizen.
Obey laws
A good citizen respects the rights of others. Treat them as you want someone to treat
you. Others have rights just like us.
Others Rights
A good citizen pays their taxes. It is the law and the money collected helps to keep our country running in all ways like the military, highways, keeps the court system running, and many more
things.
Taxes
An ideal citizen would get a good education. This will help us al of our life. It will help us get a better job after graduating and in our everyday life. Having a good education will
make life easier.
Education
An ideal citizen would always register to vote and vote for our elected officials when election
time comes. This is a privilege. We need to be involved in the political
process.
Voting
An ideal citizen would volunteer if at all possible. Volunteer in church
activities, in the community or in many other ways when someone needs help.
