• Disneyland Park, originally Disneyland, is the first of two theme parks built at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

• It is located 35 miles southwest of Los Angeles.

LOCATION

• The Matterhorn Bobsleds coaster was the first tubular steel roller coaster in the world when it opened in 1959.

• From groundbreaking to opening, Disneyland was built in just 365 days

• The park sits on 160 acres of land, but only 85 acres are open to the public.

• Disneyland is home to more than 40 rides and attractions.

FACTS

• Opened on July 17, 1955

• It is the only theme park designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney.

• In its more than 55 year history, the park has entertained more than 515 million guests.

HISTORY

• For $150, guests can own a piece of Disneyland by purchasing a

hexagonal brick that lines the path between Disneyland and Disney's

California Adventure.
