RECOMMENDED FOOD• The Samoyed is not as hearty an eater as most breeds similar in size. Their light appetite

can be attributed to the scarcity of food in the arctic climate of their native country.

• The quantity and type of food for a Samoyed depends on the age, size, amount of exercise and if the dog has any medical issues.

• Commercial dry food is convenient and has a long shelf life.

• Canned food has more flavor than commercial food but is mostly water.

• Raw food diets are also a healthy option for Samoyed but can be expensive.

• Fresh drinking water is a must to keep a healthy dog.
