About Him

Jerry Rice was born in Starkville, Mississippi on October 13, 1962. His dad was a mason. He was fast and could catch very well.

College In college he attended Mississippi Valley State

University. He quickly became an outstanding WR. He got the nickname “World” because he could catch any ball thrown to him. His records in college were receptions, receiving yards, and most TD receptions in a game.

The NFL

Jerry Rice was chosen by the 49ers. He played with the 49ers for 15 years before after the 2000 season Rice left the 49ers and signed a contract with the Oakland Raiders. He played with the Raiders 3 years. During the 2004 season he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks. He played 1 year with the Seahawks.
