WHERE DO HURRICANES OCCUR ?The Indian basin’s is a known location for

hurricanes the season is from April 1st –December 31st for the Northern Indian Ocean, and October 15th to May 31st in the southern ocean.

WHERE DO HURRICANES OCCUR ?Hurricanes are most common in the

Pacific Ocean in the west being most active. in some years the Philippines are struck with more than twenty tropical storms.

HURRICANE HUGOSeptember 9th -1989 traveled off the

African coast ,by September 13th it was moving west toward Puerto Rico. It destroyed property in South Carolina with winds 126 mph and above. It ended on September 24th .

HURRICANE IKESeptember 12th-13th 2008 landfall near

Galveston, Texas which was category 2 damage was about 6.9 billion dollars and twenty deaths.
