1. Start planning your bathroom by thinking about the wall space you have available for a sink cabinet and sink, since this is the center of most bathroom activities. The HEMNES series includes sink cabinets of different sizes and storage capacities.
After you have decided on the size of the sink cabinet, you can choose between white, black-brown, or gray finishes.
The drawers in HEMNES sink cabinet are smooth running and pull out fully so you can easily see and reach what’s inside. Pull-out stops prevent the drawers from being pulled out too far and falling, which is especially practical if you have children. You can add GODMORGON storage boxes and organizers for even more functionality.
2. IKEA sinks come in different sizes to match the width of the cabinet. Be aware that the sink can be up to ¾" wider than the sink cabinet to protect from water leakage. You can choose a single- or double-bowl sink, depending on your needs and space.
The sinks suitable for HEMNES are made of ceramic.Ceramic sinks have a glazed finish and are easy to clean. They have excellent scratch resistance and are very durable.
All sinks come with a water trap and strainer.
3. You can find a wide selection of faucets at IKEA. Choose your faucet based on function and design. All faucets come with a strainer kit, with the exception of OLSKÄR. All faucets at IKEA have a water-saving device, which uses 50% less water, but ensures that the water flow stays the same. All bathroom faucets and sinks are covered by a 10-year limited warranty.
GRANSKÄR, DANNSKÄR, DALSKÄR and ENSEN faucets have a special function: a cold water start that helps you save energy. Usually you turn on an ordinary faucet by lifting the lever straight up in the center position, which releases both cold and hot water. Often hot water isn’t necessary or hasn’t had sufficient time to reach the faucet. When you lift the lever straight up on a faucet with a cold water start function, only cold water is released, which reduces waste of hot water. To release the hot water, you lift the lever to the left.
4. Now it’s time for you to choose what to put above and around your sink: mirror cabinet, high cabinet with mirror door, shelving unit, bench. The combination possibilities are endless. Make your choice based on your bathroom storage needs and space.
5. Finally, you can complete your bathroom furniture with accessories from VOXNAN and BALUNGEN series. It’s designed to match HEMNES, so the look in your bathroom will be totally coordinated in color and style.
