Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth” (Genesis 1: 27, 28). God wants us to be fruitful. He gives us examples of non fruitful grounds in the parable of the sewer: the way side, the rock, or the thorns, they all did not bare fruit for different reasons but the result was the same. These kinds of ground are symbols of the person who hears the word of God but do not change and do not give fruit. The forth kind of ground was a good kind, it sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold. Speaking about fruit reminds us of the trees, but unfortunately, there are kinds of trees which are not fruitful. Saint John the Baptist says about this kind: “And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire” (Mt 3:10). “Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” (Mt 7:17) Am I a bad or a good tree? if I am a bad one, I must change “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit” (Mt 12:33). I can change and be fruitful or else how could I bare good fruit? The Lord Jesus said in John 15: “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.١٧٢٧ ٥ ١٤ ٢٠١٠ رض ا ا و ا ) ٨ : ٤ ، ١٥ ( ا ن ن ا ا : " . . . " ) ١ : ٢٧ ٢٨ ( . . . . : " . " ) ٣ : ١٠ ( . But others fell on good ground,

sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold

(Luke 8 : 4-15)

God created man to be fruitful: “So God created man in His own image; in

the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and

multiply; fill the earth” (Genesis 1: 27, 28). God wants us to be fruitful. He

gives us examples of non fruitful grounds in the parable of the sewer: the way

side, the rock, or the thorns, they all did not bare fruit for different reasons

but the result was the same. These kinds of ground are symbols of the person

who hears the word of God but do not change and do not give fruit.

The forth kind of ground was a good kind, it sprang up, and yielded a crop a

hundredfold. Speaking about fruit reminds us of the trees, but unfortunately,

there are kinds of trees which are not fruitful. Saint John the Baptist says

about this kind: “And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees.

Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and

thrown into the fire” (Mt 3:10). “Even so, every good tree bears good

fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit,

nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good

fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” (Mt 7:17)

Am I a bad or a good tree? if I am a bad one, I must change “Either make

the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit

bad; for a tree is known by its fruit” (Mt 12:33). I can change and be

fruitful or else how could I bare good fruit?

The Lord Jesus said in John 15: “I am the true vine, and My Father is the

vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away;

and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself,

unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am

the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”
