Forefront fails in recent AV-Test trials because of poor protection

In the corporate review tests carried out by AV-Test in Dece mber 2012, Microsofts SecurityCenter Endpoint Protection (formerly Forefront Endpoint Protection) has failed to achieve the

Av-Test Approved Endpoint Protection status. The results were primarily due to an extremelylow score in the protection category, where the Microsoft endpoint product only achieved 1.5points out of a total of 6. While Bitdefender does not yet participate in the corporate tests, itroutinely scores a maximum 6 points in the protection category for home products. As theprotection tests are very similar, this means Bitdefender provides optimum protection whilethe Microsoft solution exposes companies to significant risks.

Microsoft discontinued gateway and critical server protectionsolutions

While Bitdefender offers a complete solution for protecting and managing the entire network,Microsoft has recently discontinued some of its important products like: Forefront Protectionfor Exchange Server, Forefront Protection for SharePoint or Forefront Threat ManagementGateway.
