Franchisees enjoy a choice of three franchise models (boutique, mini and standard), as well as the opportunity to customise within certain parameters to suit individual requirements.

RealNet franchisees benefit from a tried-and-tested system. RealNet Holdings also offers tailor-made upfront and on-going training, coaching and mentoring, support through regular field visits, one-on-one sessions and online support by specialised staff members.

RealNet has developed a franchised business concept that accommodates qualifying newcomers to the industry and also allows the conversion of existing real estate agencies to franchised RealNet outlets. RealNet allows established agencies to retain elements of their unique identity and the franchisor’s support is more supportive than prescriptive. The comprehensive business solution offered by RealNet includes a proven business recipe, state-of-the-art information technology, induction and on-going training, marketing assistance, operational support, awards and recognition, practical workshops, bench-marking and most of all the practical “know-how”. Supplementary services and managerial support are provided at regional level.

The flexible business model caters for both the smaller, owner-operated franchise that is operated from home, as well as for the more formal business set-up that includes a tiered management structure, formal office space and a corporate make-up. Subject to RealNet’s stringent selection and recruitment criteria, RealNet will develop tailor-made solutions to suit qualifying applicants’ needs.

RealNet Holdings operates from Landmark West Offices, 2nd Floor, Office 2-A, 13 Umgazi Street Menlopark, Pretoria. The RealNet Executive is supported by an experienced management team and support personnel. The Managing Director, Jan Davel, whom is an experienced commercial attorney and a seasoned businessman, enjoys the support of a dedicated and experienced management team. A Professional Accountant is the Financial Manager who also oversees the group’s property letting and property management administration. National supply chain services, systems and marketing support are in the capable hands of a dedicated coordinator, while corporate governance and matters of legal and regulatory compliance are attended to by an admitted attorney in support of the Managing Director.

Training and hands-on assistance are provided by experienced Regional Managers. The RealNet Regional Managers’ primary responsibilities are to improve the group’s market share, to create brand awareness and to improve brand recognition in collaboration with RealNet’s franchisees. RealNet’s Regional Managers assist franchisees with induction training, business set-up, agent recruitment, performance and risk management, planning and budgeting, best practices and much more.

RealNet was founded in Pretoria in 1996 and started franchising its concept in 2001.

Today we have a national footprint of more than 60 franchise territories employing more than 350 estate agents who facilitate residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural sales, sales in property developments, property letting and property management.

Business opportunitySet-up costs*:

Vary between R150 000 and R800 000 depending on the franchisee’s requirements.

The franchise agreement’s most salient terms:

Monthly fees: Vary between R1 930 and R6 460 Success based royalty fee: 5% of gross commissionMarketing and branding fee: R425 per monthInitial agreement term: 10 YearsRenewal term: 5 Years, whereafter it will continue for an indefinite period, subject to RealNet’s standard terms and conditions.
