VDRL to test for positive Syphilis infections

CD4 counts to monitor HIV positive patients on ARV treatment.

Mzansi is a diagnostic & screening laboratory, servicing the community

Its involved with a research company. The laboratory is compiling data of all positive HIV patients with syphilis infections in the Hlabisa area.

The research company is financing the laboratory to do the sample testing in return for clinical and statistical data.

The laboratory aims to expand nationwide and to assist the rural community where necessary.

The aim is also to educate the rural communities and to provide the best possible diagnostic services for the underprivileged community.

There are no competitors in our area of business as the National Health Laboratory Service is assisting our laboratory with the tests that we do not perform and we are relieving their workload and stresses that come along with it.

What makes our lab service a good one?

The lab is situated in the heart of the community based in a nearby clinic thereby making it closer and easier for the people of the community to attend to get medical attention, rather than going into the town which is many kilometers away, to get medical attention.

The lab is reliable, efficient and always striving to achieve the best and always willing to go the extra mile for the people of the community. The laboratory is a 24 hour service with trained medical technologists on call.

The laboratory staff are all registered with the HPCSA and are all well experienced medical technologists offering their services and expert training and knowledge in running the laboratory efficiently.

We are providing an efficient and reliable service to the community which strives to reach the pinnacles of accuracy and quality patient care.

The laboratory service is an accredited laboratory that stands on a solid foundation of validity, whereby all laboratory tests have been validated and all laboratory methods and procedures are performed according to International Standards I.e. ISO 15189.

Our laboratory practice has a unique service to offer the community i.e. an in-house doctor who is willing to share his/ her expertise with the people of the community. This doctor is also able to explain results to the patients and to offer the best possible treatment available.

All patients that attend the clinic and have their tests done by the laboratory will get treatment from the clinic based on their medical condition

We will relieve the workload on already busy and understaffed laboratories thereby being reliable and efficient and servicing the community to the best of our ability.

By doing HIV monitoring, the laboratory is the only nearby laboratory service to offer this testing to the community, rather than going into the towns and cities to get this done.

By having an in-house doctor we are educating the surrounding community about their health and wellbeing, which in many cases have been neglected due to a lack of knowledge. We are also educating the community about diseases and health care issues that has a direct effect on the people of the community.

The laboratory is constantly involved with research projects which a promotes positive image of the laboratory and this is excellent advertising for the laboratory and more clients and research will use our laboratory service.

The ultimate promotion strategy is to have a road-show to highlight all the benefits of using our laboratory services as a first choice.

To attract customers to our laboratory we will be doing free testing at the road-show such as:Free eye testing

We will also be giving out informative pamphlets to the people in the community in order to promote ourselves.

We will put up posters about our new laboratory service being offered and all the benefits that come with it.
