Meeting defined criteria for disaster recovery compliance

A large financial institution in South America needed togain access to a third data center for disaster recoverypurposes while also meeting the compliance requirementsset by the Central Bank of Argentina regarding the loca-tion and distance of a disaster recovery site.

Business continuity and resiliency services fromIBM delivered a solution based on an in-depth analysis tomeasure the bank’s existing disaster plan against thestandards of the Central Bank of Argentina. IBM imple-mented a disaster recovery solution supported by IBM’sbusiness resilience center in that region to fill the gaps inthe bank’s existing plans. The IBM team then implementeda work area recovery plan to enable key personnel to con-tinue working in times of disruption.
