• Want to keep it an attractive and vibrant area for the future
• Strong competition from neighbouring cities
• Need more homes built for a growing population

on the edge of the town centre

Our Draft Vision encourages

• Redevelop Osborn Road Multi Storey Car Park
• Create a new cultural and arts facility
• Preserve the Civic Gardens
• Build 100 to 150 new homes with private parking
• Encourage some commercial development
What could happen in the Civic Area?

• Part of site redeveloped for commercial use, encouraging food and beverage uses
• Residential development above shops, cafés and restaurants
• A new multi storey car park to meet increased demand from residents and visitors
