Because the blower mill can draw in the grain from storage containers wherever, it is perfectly applicable where easy and straight conveyance is impossible.

Mills without Blower of the BHOS Type

Mills without blower of the BHOS type offer, at the same motor rating, a significantly higher milling performance than an equivalent mill with blower. This is because the whole power of the BHOS is dedicated to milling, without diverting performance for grain conveyance.

Our BHOS saves up to 40 % of your ener-gy costs for the milling and mixing plant. Beneficial both for your purse and for the environment.

The BHOS comes in two sizes with powerful three-phase motors ranging from 11 to 110 kW. For efficient operation this hammer mill is fitted with 24, 32 or 52 (according to size) hard metal hammers. A service life of at least 5.000 t can be achieved. Similar durability is offered by our reinforced round hole and mesh wire screens.

Milling performance is between 1.9 and 15 t/h, dependent on screen size and grain consistency. Another advantage of this mill type is the superior feed texture with a low proportion of fine meal, which contributes considerably to animal health.

The Robust, Powerful BHOS

For a mill without blower we recommend the use of an autofilter. The fully automatic Buschhoff autofilter performs three different tasks:

1. Extraction of the bruised grain by suction from the mill. Results in a very low pro- portion of fine meal in the bruised grain.2. Cooling of the bruised grain after the mil-

ling procedure. Conserves ingredients and avoids condensate formation with its nega-tive effects.

3. Create negative pressure throughout the whole plant, thereby preventing the emission of dust.

Customer requirements and individual needs are Buschhoff’s focus. Therefore the paddle wheels of this mill type can be adapted to suit the specific demands of the individual custo-mer.

The BHS models feature powerful three-phase motors from 7.5 to 18.5 kW. The wel-ded design provides extreme robustness to the mill casing, and a solid rotor contributes to the mills’ above-average service life.

A constantly good milling performance with a consistent structure of the bruised grain is assured by 12 large hammers with hard metal plating, which are equally suited for the processing of all sorts of grain. Besides their high performance these hard metal hammers display an outstanding durability. Lifetime cycles of 5.000 t of grain were achieved in field use.

The mill casing is equipped with a wear lining, and the reinforced screens are also highly wear-resistant.

The robust design comes along with low main-tenance requirements. All wear parts can be individually exchanged. Consequently, mainte-nance costs are minimised.

With an appropriate control the hammer mill can be run in automatic mode, which means using low-priced off-peak power.

Electronic load control enables the most energy-efficient use of the mill. During ope-ration the load control monitors continually the current consumption of the mill drive. According to the level of current consump-tion, the control operates a special rotary valve which is mounted at the intake device.

The rotary valve opens/closes the suction line, thereby providing the optimum operating efficiency of the mill.

Exactly as much grain is conveyed to the mill as it can process at optimum efficiency. Current peaks and overload condition are prevented. Apart from a significant energy

saving, the lifetime of the machinery is also increased. Economical operation, for the benefit of our customers, is a prime conside-ration in the design of Buschhoff products.

Working principle of load control

The Buschhoff feed mixers are available in different designs and technical layouts. Their capacity is between 750 and 3.000 kg. They use the well-proven forced mixing mode, resulting in a mixing accuracy of 1:100.000. The large, slow-moving mixing auger makes for an efficient and fast mixing. Up to 5 % oil can be added without any problem.

Another advantage: The mixers with the WR layout can be fitted with intake augers up to a length of 4 m. Therefore a dust-free insertion of feed components is ensured.

The Feed Mixers of the GM 1– 4 Series

With a capacity of 4 – 12 t these feed mixers are especially suited for large businesses. The Buschhoff GM series is of welded construc-tion and therefore very robust. Layouts and variants of this series, too, make for easy adaptation to customer’s individual requirements – optimal operation is assured.

The mixers deliver a mixing accuracy of 1:100.000 and use the well-proven forced mixing mode. The discharge performance goes up to 50 t/h. Intake augers enable a dust-free insertion of feed components, addi-tion of up to 5% of feed oil is also possible.

A Solution for every Requirement

The standard Buschhoff feed mixer is com-plemented by optional equipment to become even more efficient for any specific industrial or agricultural usage.

For example: Pumps for oil or acid can be added. The BTS 150 intake auger (up to 4 m long) conveys up to 200 kg per minute into the mixer, the BTS 200 (up to 7 m long) even up to 400 kg per minute. Weighing frames and motor-driven outlet slides top it off.

WIDOMIX® or MOLARUS: Feeding on Time and on Target

The blower is fitted with a maintenance indicator, air filter, and pressure gauge.

An empty indicator at the intake part prevents unnecessary idling during operation. The rotary distributor for 3 pressure lines can be motor-operated for automatic target assignment. The pipe connector features a non-return flap.

Efficiency concisely

Buschhoff plants do not only excel in the milling of grain and in the mixing of feed, but also in attending to the next workflow step: fast and reliable conveyance of the resulting product.

This is accomplished for example by con-veying devices like elevators, tubular and trough screw conveyors and spiral conveyors. Motor-operated distributors and outlet slides enable a fully-automatic loading of silos.By pneumatic conveyance all materials can be transported easily and without contami-nation.

For pneumatic transport Buschhoff uses the bruised grain blower type SG 50 F. It is effective for conveying distances of up to 200 m. Conveying performance depends on distance and can reach up to 3 t/h. Our control provides optimum adjustment of the performance/distance ratio. As the blower operates at high pressure (comparable to a silo tank truck), the bruised grain is conveyed gently and cost-efficient because of low energy consumption.

MOLARUS: Intelligent Control for your Milling Plant

MOLARUS can also be used to manage existing milling plants. You need not buy a new plant to exploit the benefits of MOLARUS.

Our proprietary milling software uses time control to process mixed feed from a number of different feed components.

WIDOMIX is a complete controller for milling with load control, weighing, mixing, and feed conveyance. The WIDOMIX computer performs the fully-automatic control of your milling and mixing plants. The WIDOMIX computer excels by simple and comfortable handling. It takes over nearly entirely all steps in managing the production of feed, and frees you up for other activities.

With WIDOMIX you are able to produce high-quality feed designed to the needs of your livestock. Basic parameters are: 300 feed formulas can be mixed from 70 different feed components, and the final product can be conveyed to 30 free-programmable targets. Modular design of the computer ensures fu-ture upgradability, if required.

The menu-driven user interface is easy to use. The LCD display with background illumi-nation provides a quick overview of all infor-mation and functions. For safety purposes log files are stored with protocols of recent mixing tasks. Attached silos are continually monitored.

Quality assurance complies with German QS standards.

As we offer the complete design of appropriate control cabinets, solutions for individual require-ments can be easily realised.

The WIDOMIX computer can be connected to up to 8 LUPUS type weighers. By sepa-rate weighing small quantities of a certain component can be accurately dosed for adding to a feed formula.
