Great to see so many students back wearing their school uniform and being fully equipped for learning. We have new staff supporting the students both in and outside the classroom. Buninyong school community are very happy to have Mr Michael Darcy and Mrs Kristin Anforth joining us in executive positions. Michael will be the Assistant Principal in the primary school and Leader of Stage 3. Kristin will be the Assistant Principal of the Special Education Unit. Miss Katherine Betts and Heather Locke will also be with us for the rest of the year. Today all our Kindergarten students started their school journey. It was lovely to see so many carers joining us for our assembly. There will be a "Kinder and New Parents Cuppa" held in the library on Monday 9th February at 9am. This is a great opportunity to meet other new parents and build some new connections with other parents and carers. School Leaders and Class Captain Induction On Friday 13th February, at 10am in the school hall, parents and carers are invited to join us for the first assembly for the year. Parents/carers will receive an invitation to join us and are invited to pin their child's badge on. This will be followed by a celebration for our leaders in the library. New Play Equipment Thanks to Miss Mercuri, Andrew and Ross for our new cubby house. Next week the cubby will go into full swing with our Stage One students being the first to play in the house. Bluey's Books, Breakfast Club and Walking Bus Bluey's books, Breakfast Club and the Walking Bus have all commenced this week. Bluey's Books is held every morning in the library from 8.30am. Great prizes on offer for those who are reading regularly. Swimming Carnival Date for all Students The swimming carnival will be held at the Dubbo Aquatic Centre on Friday 20th February. A note will follow with more details and costing. Students in Years 3 to 6 attend for the whole day and K-2 students join us for tabloids and water play from 11am. Our friends from Special Ed will also be joining us. I invite all parents to come and join in the fun. Meet and Greet Meet your child's teacher and view your child's classroom on Friday 13th February from 11am. Each child will bring home a personal invitation with relevant information for their class. Dubbo Uniting Church

Dubbo Uniting Church with Uniting Care Burnside are

running a program called “Cheeky Choose Days”. This is a fun

interactive group with games and activities for children. Held

on Tuesdays during school term from 3:30pm to 4:45pm at

Wesley community Hall. Children aged 4-12yrs welcome with

afternoon tea provided.

First Aid for Parents

This 2 day workshop covers all aspects of First Aid.

When: 5th and 6th March

Time: 9:30am to 4:30pm

Job Club

At Job Club we can help you start a resume, write a job

application and apply for a job. Job Club is held every Friday

on Respite services available in the region.

Held at Dubbo Hockey Centre, Pioneer Park on 25th

and 5-6:30pm for U11’s. Cost: U9’s $68.90 and U11’s
