2016 Links for Life disability Expo

Our New Musical InstrumentsBest Employment came to the rescue with the installation of our new outdoor musical instruments, which was completed at the end of last term. Will and Samuel, below, wasted no time in trying out this wonderful new resource. Parents are welcome to visit and have a play. As mentioned previously, these instruments are the result of a generous donation from South Tamworth Lions Club who are long term supporters of the school.

The Links for Life disability Expo was a massive success again this year. It was held on Thursday 15 September. As in previous years a team of student volunteers attended the expo to help out with serving tea/coffee, morning tea and lunch to stall holders. Congratulations to these students in doing a wonderful job in representing our school and actively promoting the great work we do here at Bullimbal. Thanks again to Danielle Northey who, with the help of a committee of people representing a range of disability based organisations, has organized a fantastic and informative event for the Tamworth community.

Everyone is a Winnerat the Bullimbal Athletics Carnival

Another big thank you to Tony and the crew from Best Employment, who worked very hard during the last week of term three to mark out our field for the sports carnival. They have also been working on the grounds with mowing and gardening. Our school is certainly looking great.

2016BullimbalAthletics Carnival

The annual athletics carnival was held on Friday 23 September which was the last day of Term 3. This year the school reduced the number of events to have the carnival finish at lunchtime. Participation by the students as competitors and spectators was very high throughout the day. Thank you to Greg for his hard work in organizing the day and to all the staff and parents who helped to make the day a success. Students enjoyed a disco and BBQ lunch to conclude the day. Thanks to the P and C for the donation of sausages for this activity.

Carers’ Week will be celebrated in Week 5 Term 4 (7-11 November) to coincide with our next family assembly. Keep an eye out for some fantastic activities and events that our Chaplain, Charmaine Alley, is organizing to celebrate and acknowledge this important week.

On behalf of the school staff I would like to give my sincere thanks to the P and C for your efforts in organizing and conducting the Trivia Night. It was a well organized and fun night. We are also very thankful for the funds that were raised which will contribute towards a refurbishment of our kitchen facilities for the students.

Thanks to Best Employment
