*CALL TO WORSHIP – (adapted from Psalm 95:1 and “There Has to Be A Song” by Robert Benson)

Leader: There has to be a song.

Congregation: There are too many dark nights, too many troublesome days,

too many wearisome miles.

Leader: There has to be a song.

Congregation: To make our burdens bearable, to make our hopes

believable, to transform our successes into praise, to release

the chains of past defeats.

Leader: Somewhere - down deep in a forgotten corner of each person’s

heart - there has to be a song.

Congregation: Like a cool, clear drink of water, like the gentle warmth of

sunshine, like the tender love of a child, there has to be a

song.

All: O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to

the rock of our salvation.
