I am deeply grateful for all the cards and mementos that have been sent to me. It is impossible for me to answer them all at this time, but I am praying for you all and wish you all well. I ask for your prayers too. Peace and all good, that all may be happy. Sincerely,

Twenty-fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time: September 20, 2015
First, a bit of a financial report. The figures are unaudited and rounded to the nearest thousand.
Next week’s second collection will be for the mechanical overhaul project. It has been quite a large, complex project that is approaching completion. We have been using the new equipment for air conditioning and ventilation this summer. This fall we will begin to use the new heating equipment. We still have some significant bills to pay, hence the need for next week’s second collection for that purpose. Special thanks to the good people at EM Duggan: Vincent and Maureen Petroni (owners), Ken Hagan (Fabrication Shop Superintendent), and Pipefitters Local 537. They have been incredibly generous to this project. The August 2015 issue of UA Journal features a full-page article on some of the remarkable aspects of the mechanical project at the Shrine. This publication is the national publication for plumbers, sprinklerfitters, steamfitters and service techs. We are grateful for the national publicity! We have gotten very good feedback on the new kneelers on the second floor. We are glad everyone likes them. Please use caution with them as they aren’t indestructible. The most important thing is to not stand on them. Thanks for your cooperation with that. We have significantly increased the number and the quality of the security cameras on the first floor of the building. Know that when you are in first floor lobbies, hallways, and doorways, you are on camera. In the event of any incidents, please let us know. We are pleased to announce that the Shrine has a new nonprofit partner in our work. The international organization called Global Catholic Climate Movement has moved its offices to St. Anthony Shrine. This organization has the blessing of Pope Francis and its purpose is to promote his encyclical and the general idea that Catholics should be involved in this movement. The charismatic leader of the group is Tomás Insua. Christina Leano will also be working in that office. Global Catholic Climate Movement was started in January 2015 and it already has more than 18,000 likes on its Facebook page. The website, in six languages, is http://catholicclimatemovement.global/ Welcome, Tomás and Christina! Thomas Conway, OFM Executive Director

Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Twitter and check out our website often for new, daily photos of the Pope “visiting” our various ministries and staff around the Shrine. Our life-‐size replica of Pope Francis will be in the lobby of the Shrine next weekend (Sept 26/27) for anyone interested in taking a photo “with him” while he's here in the United States. Post photos to your own social media using the #PopeOnArchSt @shrineboston.
