Triple C, Inc. has a long and strong history in livestock management equipment. When we designed the original flush-mount flatbed bale handler in 1979, applied for patent protection in 1983 and received that patent in 1986, we started a revolution in pickup-mounted bale

handling equipment. Our company philosophy remains unchanged: Providing our fellow livestock operators with proven products constructed with care by skilled craftsmen. Hydra Line™ owners across North America verify that our equipment has established a benchmark for innovation and ruggedness in the hay handling industry.

We continue to use our own cattle operation as a proving ground to develop unique solutions to specific problems encountered in the daily care and management of livestock. Out of this practical foundation have come many other innovations designed to practically and efficiently meet the challenges faced by North American livestock operations. Whether you are running 4,000 commercial cows in the high country, a 300-head seedstock operation on the plains or are just starting out in the cattle business, your equipment investment and effectiveness are critical to your profitability. As you study the Triple C products in this catalog, you’ll discover that we always seek the simplest solution to a problem or task. Fancy “bells and whistles” that don’t contribute to function or dependability won’t be found in Hydra Line™ equipment. For more than 3 decades, we’ve been developing, manufacturing and supporting a family of feeding, fencing and general cattle management products that simply exceed the rugged demands of farm and ranch life. We measure our success by the satisfaction of our customers.

SQUARE BALE FLAKERHYDRAFLKR

The introduction of large square hay packages in the ’80’s provided producers the ability to mechanically harvest, handle, stack and transport bales more efficiently. For over 2 decades, many of our customers have utilized their Hydra Bed ® systems to load and transport these large

square bales. In most ranch situations, range feeding of these “big squares” has been a 2-person task, typically requiring a driver and someone on the truck bed to separate and drop individual flakes off to the cattle.

Triple C, Inc. developed the Hydra FlKr ™ (Patent #6,817,820) to safely and efficiently accomplish this task with a single operator, greatly reducing costs and risk of injury. After bales are loaded, utilizing the proven power

and dependability of the Hydra Bed®, the Hydra FlKr™ separates flakes from each bale, then drops them onto the ground or feed aprons as well as into bunks, hay rings or tire feeders. The operator controls the rate at which each bale is processed.

To minimize leaf loss, flake separation is accomplished utilizing an innovative retracting finger mechanism.

The hydraulic bale ramping function helps control premature flake drop. The bale advance design

provides incremental feeding rates at the operator’s discretion. The machine is powered

by the Hydra Bed® hydraulic system and is controlled from the driver’s seat. The

Hydra FlKr™ is easily and quickly installed on most Hydra Bed®

models and can be removed in minutes when the feeding

season is completed.

The Hydra TM2000™ tractor-mount bale handler/unroller from Triple C, Inc. has been backed by actual ranch use since 1986. Bales weighing up to 2,000 pounds can be transported or unrolled from the comfort and safety of your tractor cab. (The safe lifting capacity of your tractor’s 3-point hitch will determine maximum load handling capability.) The automatically synchronized bale-gripping arms assure positive centering of the bale. This proven design feature makes unrolling solid core bales of all types simple and efficient. Designed only for use on ROPS equipped tractors. Always wear your safety belt.

Developed and designed for tough digging conditions, the Hydra PHD™ is powered by a high-pressure, high-efficiency motor, which is isolated from all side and end thrust by two heavy self-aligning, greasable, sealed ball bearings. Instant reversibility and hydraulic cushioning by the system relief valve make operation fast and fool-proof in nearly any digging condition. Shear-pin breakage is virtually eliminated because all over-load and shock conditions are absorbed by the truck, tractor or skid loader’s open or closed center hydraulic system.

SQUARE BALE HANDLERHYDRAGRABBER

Loading and transporting large square bales becomes safe and efficient with the Hydra GraBBerTM loader attachment. The simple but effective design of this machine engages bales from any side. By eliminating the need to “spear” bales, the Hydra GraBBerTM prevents the damage to buildings, trucks and trailers that can result from

pushing into stacks. Hydraulic power provides rapid engagement and retraction of the aggressive bale hooks. With the hooks retracted, the operator simply places the machine in contact with the selected bale face. Stack push-over is no longer a concern, as the bale hooks move from fully retracted to fully embedded in the bale only after the loader is no longer in motion. Stacking on trucks, trailers or in barns becomes fast and simple. After bales are in position, the hooks are hydraulically retracted, releasing the bales. The dangerous problem of pulling the stack back on the loader is prevented, improving safety and efficiency. When equipped with the Hydra GraBBerTM, most tractor loaders become capable of loading and unloading an entire truck or trailer from one side, resulting in significant time savings.

We continue to lead the industry in offering exceptional warranty coverage.Every Hydra Line™ system and product (ProSpear excluded) is protected by a full two-year warranty, covering all structural, hydraulic, control and electrical components. After more than 2 decades in business, Triple C customers and dealers continue to tell us that our warranty philosophy is exceptional. We’ve always based that philosophy on something we learned

early in life: Treat others the way you want to be treated! Our products are designed and expected to excel in the heavy use and abuse of ranch life.

“We previously owned two bale beds built by one of your major competitors and knew there had to be something better. With my other brand beds, I have experienced not being able to unload bales because of a broken wire or remote control failure. That will never be a problem with the Hydra Bed! Another benefit of the manual valve system that I now take for granted is the ability to accurately control the speed of the arms. The Hydra Bed’s free-float gives it the ability to unroll bales completely without the need for spinner extensions, making feeding a breeze. I’ve never written a letter like this before, but I have never been so happy with a piece of equipment I use so much! In case you can’t tell, I’m glad we made the change to Hydra Bed!” Craig Gebhard, Gebhard Farms, Inc. • Kansas

“We bought our first Hydra Bed in 1992 and now own 3 of them. They all get used pretty hard in our rocky hills. We owned a competitor’s flatbed for about 2 months and got rid of it because we didn’t like the way it handled bales. Our local Hydra Line dealer has given very good service, but we actually haven’t needed hardly any on these Hydra Beds. The Hydra FLKR lets us easily and accurately supplement cows with our high-quality purchased hay. When feeding these big square bales on winter pasture to our 250 cows, there is virtually no waste. The machine (the Hydra FLKR) lets one operator quickly meter out just the amount the cattle need for that day.” Dale Bowman, Bowman Farms • Missouri

“My Hydra Bed is my hired hand. We use it here nearly every day for something: from hauling hay to unrolling wire, pulling posts, hauling stock tanks, changing center pivot tires, and loading heavy items.” Gail L. Haynes • Colorado

“We purchased our Hydra Bed in 1988. In 10 years of service we have replaced one idler pulley and two control cables. It is by far the lowest maintenance piece of equipment on the ranch, considering the hours it has been used. It replaces everything from a handyman jack to our Du-Al loader. My wife and children all operate it. Our Hydra Bed will be the last piece of equipment to leave this ranch.” Milt & Clarice Madison • North Dakota

“Just a note to let you all know how much we appreciate the Hydra Bed and Hydra Feeder purchased from you. This equipment has changed the whole complexity of our feeding system at Ohio State University. Unrolling big round bales in the pastures allows uniform feeding for the cows. Hay usage is decreased about 15% because of less wastage. We have changed our feeding in the barns to accommodate the use of the Hydra Feeder. There is less feed wasted and the labor force has been lowered by 1 ̊ units. It is now a pleasure to do the feeding, not a chore.” Les Middleton, Manager • Ohio State University Beef & Sheep Centers

“We love our Hydra Bed! It is the best investment we have ever made. We have cattle in a number of pastures as far away as 10 miles from where we live - it makes choring so much easier and faster. We use it also to pick up and move a number of things: gates, feeders or whatever. We have the across-bed toolbox that comes in mighty handy. Keep up the good work. You make a product to be proud of!” Buster & Katie Newberry • Missouri

“I think it is safe to say the use of the Hydra Beds has cut our feeding labor time by at least 50%.” Scott Schaake, Director • Kansas State University Purebred Unit

“We have tried several different ways of feeding round bales. The Hydra Bed has by far stood up the best under all conditions for the feeding and care of over 4,000 cows in this mountainous area of Montana. We like the strength and mobility of the Hydra Bed and less down time as compared to other beds we have had. We also use the Hydra Beds around the ranch for lifting, transporting, even loading game up for hunters. We have 13 Hydra Beds and they are the only way to feed hay to our cows.” R.W. Keefer • Montana

“I absolutely love this bed. Bringing home round bales is a lot more fun when you are sitting in a comfortable cab, have the radio and air conditioner on and a small cooler of soft drinks on the seat beside you. I have used the bed to string out fence wire, string out plastic waterlines, pull fence posts, haul flood debris out of the fields and even towed home a repaired backhoe and tractor. This bed has allowed me to do jobs by myself which would otherwise require the use of a second person. Now, if I could only figure out how to use it to work the cattle herd through the chutes and head gate.” Ken Scharabok • Tennessee
