Mott MacDonald was design engineer and supervised
implementation of building services for the new
Towner Art Gallery in Eastbourne, on the UK’s
Sussex coast. Working with Rick Mather Architects we
designed the mechanical and electrical systems for the
galleries and conference, café and community spaces.
Service routes have all been incorporated within the
building fabric to prevent visual impact within the rooms.
In the gallery and studio areas the systems have been
designed to meet strict environmental criteria for
gallery conditions.
