530 Collins St – PCA Award 2011 Announcement• At the 2011 annual Property Council of Australia Innovation & Excellence awards held last Saturday night 530
Collins received “Best Sustainable Development – Existing Buildings” for 2011.
• This award is given to an organisations commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability development.
• To achieve a guaranteed 5 Star NABERS energy rating is market leading, but to achieve this outcome for an asset of 530 Collins size (68,000) and age (22 years) is a significant achievement and is a first in Australia, a true market leading position and a guide for all the existing properties.

What is Shopping Ethically?
The ways in which you can act as an 'ethical consumer' can take on a number of often subtle forms.
Positive buying is favouring ethical products, be they fair trade, organic or cruelty free. This option is arguably the most important since it directly supports progressive companies.
Negative purchasing means avoiding products you disapprove of such as battery eggs or polluting cars.
