“Crossroads already feels like such a warm place to learn because of the teachers and my friends,
but a new building will make it feel like it’s truly a home. A home where I can feel safe to
be my most creative self.” —Fifth Grade Student
OUR FUTURE IS
“Throughout high school at KUA, undergrad at Middlebury, and graduate school at Oxford, I was
often pleasantly surprised to recall my earliest exposure to a given text. The works most essential to
my field of study, and the ones to which I return again and again, were almost all first presented
to me in a Crossroads classroom.” —Tori Pipas ’10

“In the new building, I will have greater flexibility to utilize a wide variety of teaching methods to deeply
engage my students in science. This will allow us to maximize our learning in the lab and dig into
the rich curriculum we cover.”—Dr. Jessica Day

“As a teacher it is my job to teach my material
to the best of my ability, to be accessible and approachable
to my students, and to contribute to our larger community. The new Middle School will enhance my job on
all of these fronts.”—Mrs. Maria Squire P’23,’26

THE VISION IS CLEARA Space for New Opportunities
The time is right to create a nurturing, collaborative space for the Crossroads Middle School. This cutting-edge building will integrate
beautifully into the natural campus setting, using energy efficient and environmentally mindful building practices. Engaging spaces will support rich learning, teaching, and the daily student experience.
Our K-8 community will utilize the new Middle School for assemblies, cross-grade partnerships, mentor work, and professional development.
We are ready. The time is now.
