BUILD NOTICE 01 INSTALLATION TEMPORARY INFRASTRUCTURE

From Monday 16 September 2019, temporary infrastructure works will commence in Main Beach and Surfers Paradise to prepare for the Supercars Gold Coast 600 on 25 - 27 October. Regular updates will be provided via these Build Notices. Road users should be prepared for changes to traffic conditions for a nine-week period. Road Closures The Gold Coast Highway:

- Partial road closures 7.00am – 5.00pm Monday – Friday.

- Full road closures 7.30pm – 5.00am Monday - Friday

Surfers Paradise Boulevard:

- Full road closures 7.30pm – 5.00am Thursday - Friday

Works in Macintosh Island Initial works include the installation of temporary fencing and portable buildings across multiple locations in Macintosh Island; the construction of the Pit Building and grandstands throughout Macintosh Island. Pedestrian access will be maintained through Macintosh Island with minor diversions in place for safety reasons. The children’s playground and public amenity will remain accessible to the community during this installation period. Traffic management signage and traffic controllers will to be in place throughout the event build to assist with safe access for all contractors, road users and pedestrians. NOTIFICATION OF UPCOMING SPECIAL EVENT CLEARWAYS

Special event clearway parking restrictions will be in

place from 23 September to facilitate the

implementation of event infrastructure.

These clearways are strict no-parking zones and apply

to local residents, holiday makers and the general

public. Vehicles left in clearways will be towed and a

fee applies. Signage will be installed the day before

advising of the parking restrictions.
