WorkshopScenario StandingDeskConstructionTeacherIntroduction:(Overview/Purpose)Thisworkshopisdesignedtoallowstudentstoexperiencetheconstructionofawoodproductfromaplan.Thisdeskcouldbemadetoorderandsotheplansmayneedtobealteredtosatisfythecustomer.Tasksmayinclude:communicatingthedesignwiththecustomer,makingchangestotheplanandmateriallist,buyingthematerial,settinguptheworkstation,building,anddelivery.Studentscouldadvertisethedeskandfindcustomers.Theycouldofferdifferentdesignsanddiscusswithcustomersdetailsaboutdesignandcost.Thingstoconsiderinthisseriesofactivities:customersshouldpre-orderthedeskandpossiblygivespecificsfortypeofdesign(height,tabletop,etc.).Studentscouldbrainstormslightchangestothedesigntoofferanddiscussanddeterminethespecifictypesofclientsforthisproduct.NotethatsellingitemsinschoolneedstobepassedthroughtheGoverningBoardandthePrincipal.Alsoensurethatyouhavedonespecificsafetylessonsoneachofthetoolsusedandspecificworkshopsafety.Thisworkshopscenarioprovidesanopportunitytoaddressmanydifferentspecifictasksandperformancecriteria.Materials
