Pfc. S e m b e r received the American Spirit Honor Medal at graduation ceremonies It cited him for "displaying outstanding qualities of leadership best expressing the American spirit, honor. Initiative, loyaltty and high example of comrades" during training.
The 26-year-old leatherneck is a graduate of South Park High School. After a 20-day furlough, he will report to Camp Pendleton, Calif., for advanced combat training.
