Bucks County Fire Dispatch Box Alarm System

Local Box Normally includes unoccupied and very low risk type call such as trash, brush, wires, vehicle, washdown, dumpster, fires reported out, alarm systems, etc.. Responses will vary according to the severity ff the incident.

Chiefs Investigation Will be at the written request of the chief of the department. Calls will be

dispatched according to special assignment. If no officers respond within four minutes, a local box will be dispatched.

perform effective initial fire fighting operations. Box Normally includes medium to high hazard occupancies such as schools, hospitals,

nursing homes, high rise buildings, industrial occupancies, apartments, offices, mercantile and other high life hazard or large fire potential occupancies.

Medium Hazard At least 3 pumpers, 1 ladder truck, 1 chief officer and other specialized apparatus Occupancies Box as may be needed or available. Rescue Box Includes rescue situations from domestic and industrial accidents, auto extrication,

building collapse, etc. Responses will vary according to the severity of the incident. Marine Box Any call requiring a person to be rescued from water, or boat in distress.
