1 Summary

1. There is only one monitoring cable between the 2 cabinet. Refer to the Chapter 4.

2. ONLY straight through cable can be used.3. We configure the 3G BTS type the same as the 2G. 2 Overview of BTS3900A Cabinet2.1 Exterior and configurations of the APM30H No.ModuleDescription

1Fan boxThe fan box is configured with the fan, the Hert Power Monitoring Interface unit (HPMI), and the Central Monitoring Unit type A (CMUA), dissipating the heat in the cabinet.

2SLPUThe Signal Lightning Protection Unit (SLPU) is a mandatory component installed in the top 1 U space of the cabinet, providing protection for trunk signals.

3EPS subrackThe EPS subrack provides functions of AC power distribution and DC power distribution for the cabinet.

4BBU3900The BBU3900 processes the baseband signals and enables interaction between the base station and the BSC or RNC.

5PSU (AC/DC)The Power Supply Unit (PSU) converts 110 V AC or 220 V AC power into -48 V DC power.

6PMUThe Power Monitoring Unit (PMU) provides the functions of power system and battery management, power monitoring, and alarm reporting

2.2 Exterior and configurations of the RFC

No.ModuleDescription

1DCDU-01The Direct Current Distribution Unit-01 (DCDU-01) supplies power to each component in the cabinet.

2Fan boxThe fan box is configured with the fan and CMUA. The fan dissipates the heat in the cabinet, and the CMUA provides the functions of the temperature control, Boolean alarm detection, and ELU identification of the cabinet.

3RFUThe Radio Frequency Unit (RFU) performs modulation and demodulation between baseband signals and RF signals, processes data, and combines and divides signals.

2.3 Exterior and configurations of the TMC11H No.ModuleDescription

1Fan boxThe fan box is configured with the fan, HPMI, and CMUA, dissipating the heat in the cabinet.

3DCDU-03The Direct Current Distribution Unit-03 (DCDU-03) supplies power to each component in the TMC11H.

2.4 Exterior and configurations of the IBBS200D No.ModuleDescription

1FanThe fan is installed on the front door of the cabinet, dissipating the heat in the cabinet.

2CMUAThe CMUA provides the functions of the temperature control, Boolean alarm detection, and ELU identification of the cabinet.

3Power distribution boxThe power distribution box is installed on the upper right of the cabinet, transferring the distributing the power to the TEC cooler or fan and to the batteries.

4BatteryThe battery provides long-duration backup power for a base station

2.5 Exterior and configurations of the IBBS200T No.ModuleDescription

1TEC coolerThe TEC cooler is installed in the protecting hood for the TEC cooler on the front door of the cabinet. The TEC cooler consists of the TEC, inner air circulation fan, outer air circulation fan, heat-dissipation piece, and monitoring board
