Explore your new courseYour BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Music Industry Skills qualification includes a mix of mandatory and optional units and has been designed around:

• An internally assessed portfolio – to help learners progress to employment, an apprenticeship or further study and successfully network within the industry.

• Self-promotion skills – so your learners gain the skills and confidence they will need to showcase their achievements.

• Practical hands-on assignments – you can tailor to suit your learners.

• Expert advice and support – your subject advisor is on hand to help you every step of the way.

The chart below shows the mix of mandatory and optional units available. Learners are required to complete and achieve four mandatory units and two optional units.

Teaching materialsWe have free-to-download course materials available to support planning and teaching this new qualification including:

Specification - everything you will need to teach the new qualification from the course structure, detailed unit information and planning, to help with internal assessment and administrative arrangements and more.

Delivery plans - including 6 month and 12 month sample delivery plans showing how the qualification could be delivered within those timeframes.

Schemes of Learning – one for each unit suggesting one way of delivering the course content within the required guided learning hours.

Please note, the BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Music Industry Skills is an internally assessed qualification and is not included in performance tables in England.
