These services must cater to the students needs such as housing in the university, academic support, health, counselling, guidance and assistance from registration until graduation.

Mission-Vision The University Student Council, through the Basic Student Services Committee, must continue representing the student body in demanding the strong and accessible services the students deserve. It must continue to innovate mechanisms to ensure that these services are maximized through information dissemination.

this, the BSS committee shall broaden and strengthen its relationhip with the oces that

    provide these services. ]

    1. GRIEVANCE AND ASSISTANCE DESKS

A more inviting desk -Improve signages to make the Grievance and Assistance Desks more visible and inviting to students.

-Ensure all concerns are logged, and brought to offices. 2 copies of proper documentation will be made. One copy will be submitted to the concerned offices, the other copy will be kept for the improvement of our FAQ list.

-The USC can recommend students to Adopt a Student Program which entails students

GV sa registration -Provide cold drinks during registration days to help avoid dehydration of students

-Hand out pins with positive and witty notes to keep lining up and enlisting on a light mood

-Work with the League of College Councils so that Local Councils may choose to send the updates directly to their constituents.

-Slot availability may also be checked at the grievance and assistance desks using the laptops stationed at the desks (laptops owned by USC officers).

Sagot Ka Namin -Frequently Asked Questions and Answers will be provided in each grievance desk to ensure that students make their registration days more efficient and less of a hassle.

    UNIVERSITY STUDENT COUNCIL

  • -Copies of the UP Dilian Campus Map shall be stationed at every grievance desk. These may also be distributed to students.

-Copies will also be distributed to Local Councils through the League of College Councils

Form 5a Printing -Free printing of Form 5as will also be provided at heavy traffic college buildings such as AS Lobby, Math Building, etc.

Scholarships List -A list of available scholarships provided by the OSSS will be provided in each Grievance and Assistance Desk

    2. TURONG ISKO Keep It Together

    - The BSS Committee shall continue to bring together different student organizations who provide tutorials for their fellow Iskolars ng Bayan. This way, students will have access to a collated list of tutorials to choose from for their specific needs.

-Tutorials offered by the Diliman Learning and Research Center will also be collated in the Turong Isko.

-Venues of the tutorial sessions should not only be restricted in the DLRC building, but it should also be held in buildings where a lot of UP students commonly hangout/ buildings that are close to where the classes of the subject of tutorial is held. e.g. Math tutorials will be held at the Math Building.

-Room-to-rooms or RTRs will also be conducted by the USC to ensure that it is known to (e.g.) math classes that there are math tutorials available. Strategic RTR schedules will be prepared accordingly. It is our mandate to not simply wait for students to ask for services, but to offer the services to them.

We really need help in information dissemination, since a lot of the students are shy or do not know how or where to get tutorial services. Perhaps the USC can help us repackage tutorials into enrichment programs. We need more students to know what DLRC can offer.

We also need tutors for Filipino for our international students. Perhaps the USC can help us find volunteers for this and all our other tutorial programs.

As long as any event is academic in nature, DLRC is here to provide our venue for free, even free use of our computers if it is part of the workshop. - Mam Grace, DLRC Coordinator

  • Building Dreams Together - UPCAT Review sessions shall be conducted by volunteers to the aspiring future Iskolars ng Bayan. We shall partner up with the League of College Councils, different student organizations, especially provincial organizations whom we will help in conducting an UPCAT review in their respective provinces.

-In the UPCAT Review Sessions, Local College Councils will also be able to give a short talk about their colleges, to help the future freshies in deciding which college/s they would want to apply for. This would be a perfect opportunity for them to ask their ates and kuyas questions regarding the courses of their interest.

    3. HEALTH SERIES (COLLEGES AND DORMS) Eye Love It

-Continuing what the SPOFIH Committee has initiated last year, free eye check ups will be available in different colleges. But this year, we aim to have proactive kinds of vaccinations as well.
