    WHAT IS THE ESSENCE

/PHILOSOPHY OF THE SCRIPTURE?To get to know Allah Jalla Jalalahu, the Creator of the heavens and the

    earth.

To know oneself; by getting to know the relationship between one's

own self and the Creator and His expectations from His slaves.

To know the message of Islam and its purpose.

To know IslamGod's chosen way of life, and how to live according to

    its teachings.

Stories of messengers and Prophets in order to take them as rolemodels and imitate them.

To introduce us to the kingdom of Allah and His Sunnah (way of doing

things) in His kingdom. This allows us to know if the kingdom of Allah

will bear witness to our actions on the Day of Judgment or be a witness

To introduce us to the unseen creation of Allah including

the jinns and angels; their roles, numbers, and abilities. It is inessence a manifestation of the powers of Allah and is referred to

as Iman bil ghaibor faith in the unseen.

To know the journey and to warn us against the hardships and

enemies waiting for us along the way such as Shaytaan,

our nafs (desires and temptations), love of this world, fear of theunseen, weaknesses of our souls etc. Once we know about them,

we can equip ourselves to deal with them properly.

To relay the importance of the Love of Allah and the rights of the

brotherhood among Muslims quintessential quality of believers,

which we as a nation are deprived of today. The outcome of the journey of life and the two destinations

jannah orjahannam. If we spend our lives according to the message

of Islam the reward isJannah, if not then the destination

is jahannam. One third of the Qur'an is dedicated to the description

and delights of jannah and the horrors of jahannam

    The Holy Quran confirms:

    [43:32]We raise some of

    them above others in ranks,

    so that some may command

    work from others...

    This Ayah (43:32) encompasses the

entire philosophy and wisdom of modern

management. It emphasizes, in essence, thecreation of appropriate hierarchies and the

    division of responsibilities subject to

    individual capabilities.

    ABSOBEDIENCE AND

    RESPECT FOR AUTHORITY

Obedience and respect for authority is thebasic fundamental requisite for taking work from

others and getting it done. Working through peopleactually presupposes the willingness of people toobey. It is therefore necessary for those people whoare given the job to complete a task to obey all legaland reasonable orders and perform it responsibly.

    ABSHoly Quran instructs:[4:59]

    Obey Allah and His

    Messenger and those in position

    of authority among you.

When this spirit of voluntary obedience is instilled in the mind ofan employee, the scope of the hierarchy as envisaged by the

Ayat is strengthened [43:32]. Needless to say, without the spirit

of voluntary obedience among those who work, the creation ofhierarchy will not serve any purpose .

male and female couple and then divided

you in nations and tribes so that you may

recognize one another. Verily the most

Makingpeople what they are supposed todo requires a certain degree ofcommitment which can only be achievedthrough motivation. It is an established factthat the way a Manager behaves or dealswith the subordinates determines the level

and vitality of their motivation andcommitment to a great extent.

    ABSWhat it Mean to Management?

This beautiful ayat emphasizes upon two aspects: one, thatcompassionate and sympathetic behavior towards companionsand followers, and second, the adoption of participatoryapproach when dealing with them i.e. consulting them, is themost effective way of management. If this golden rule is not

observed then they will disappear from you i.e. they wont payattention nor any interest in you or what your work entails.

Both these golden rules play vital role in the motivation ofsubordinates and inculcating in them the spirit of commitment

    and passion for work.

Teaching and Imparting Instructions The Almighty Allah sent the

Prophets towards the people so that they might give them trainingand tell them those things which they needed. The Holy Qur'ansays:

It is He who has sent to the illiterates a Messenger from among theirown people who recites to them His revelations, and purifies them.He will teach the Book to them and others who have not yet joined,

and He will give them wisdom. Before this they had been in plainerror.(Surah al-Jumu'ah, 62:2)

Exposing the Futility of False and Evil Things To expose the wrongways of the false gods and despotic rulers and disgrace them. The

Establishing a Society Based on Justice The Prophets founded a

society in which the people should establish justice and treat others

without any consideration of caste, creed, political or economicdifferences. The Prophets' main function was to inculcate in the

people's heart a firm belief in Allah and the Day of Judgement and to

create in the individual and the society such moral standard and Divine

thinking as would arouse in them the spirit of justice and equity towards

their fellow beings. The Holy Qur'an says:We sent Our Messengers with clear evidence (to support their

truthfulness), and sent with them the Book and the Balance (criteria of

right and wrong) so that people would maintain justice. We sent down

iron, in which is a vital war material and which benefits the people, so

that Allah would know who would help Him though unseen, and HisMessengers. (Surah al-Hadid, 57:25)

The birth of a daughter in a family was not an occasion

for rejoicing, but was regarded with humiliation. Thepractice of killing female children was rampant.

In India, the Hindu woman was the most suppressed

creature. she had faced following consequences:-

She was born to serve her men folk, her father and

brother before marriage, and husband and father-in-law

and husbands brothers after the marriage.

She was forced to worship her husband. After the death

of her husband she had no right to live and was forced to

be burnt alive at the pyre of her husband.

Islam ensured a dignified life to the fair sex, which was

hitherto treated in an unfair manner. Woman became the

mistress of the household. Man was not allowed to beat

or manhandle them nor deprive them of their share in

the property. The Holy Quran declared: "A mother shouldnot be made to suffer because of her child, nor he to
