CHARLES RAY BEASLEY 1954-2013 MCKENZIE — Funeral ser- vices for Mr. Charles (Charlie) Ray Beasley, 58, of Gleason, Tenn were March 12, 2013 at McKenzie First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with buri- al in New Valley Cemetery in Gleason. He was the owner and opera- tor of Dairy Queen in McKenzie. He is survived by his wife, Con- nie Beasley of Gleason; one son, Doug Beasley of Gleason; his parents, Bill and Maudell Beasley of Gleason; one sis- ter, Janice (Reggie) Wiggins of McKenzie; four brothers, Den- nis Beasley of Nashville, Tom (Peggy) Beasley of Paris., John (Darla) Beasley of Gleason. and Mike (Jennifer) Beasley of McKenzie. Bell to his heavenly home. John or Uncle John as he was most commonly referred to by family and friends was born on September 4, 1915 to the late Charlie and Christine (Hutchison) Bell He was an avid outdoors man. He loved farming, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He especially loved to share the fruits from his har- vest with the community. He served in the United State Army during WWII for three years and retired from the Ten- nessee Army Reserve. John accepted Christ at an early age and joined the McLemoresville Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Amer- ica, where he was a very loyal, dedicated and faithful member until his health failed He served as an Elder, Sunday School Su- perintendent, and many other capacities in the church. He was also an active member to the New Hopewell Presbytery. He was the third of eight children. John was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. He leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Mozella (Clinton) Colbert of Detroit, MI; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Bell, Birdie Sue (Versie) Flake; one step-daughter, Norma L. She was a member of the Eastview Baptist Church and a retired employee of Hen- ry I. Siegel. He was in the Marines in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ. He was pre- ceded in death by his first wife, Elwanda Woodard Baumgard- ner of 43 years; and his second wife Lois Fuller Baumgardner of 14 years. He is survived by a brother Johnnie Baumgardner (Eloise); one daughter, Patsy (Frank) My- ers; two sons, Jimmy (Brenda) Fuller and Jeff (Wanda) Fuller, all of Huntingdon; nine grand- children; and 13 great-grand- children; eight Nieces and one Nephew.
