Adult Amateur Hunter: Adult Amateur Hunter classes are for amateurs 18 years of age or older showing horses and/or ponies. To be judged onperformance, soundness, manners, way of going, and suitability. The Adult Amateur Hunter section may be divided by age of riderand/or height of fences. Adult Amateur Hunters are to be shown over fences at either 3’ or 3’3”. Riders in this section may enter anyEquitation class. Riders who compete in the Amateur Owner Hunter and/or Jumper classes may show other horses that they own inthe Adult Amateur Hunters. Horses and ponies exhibiting in this section may cross enter multiple sections of Adult Amateur Hunterand any . classes where eligible.Note: The horse may only be shown by one rider in the Adult Amateur Hunter Classic and that rider must be declared prior to the firstround of the Classic. Points for Zone Awards earned in a hunter classic will be awarded as follows: 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 6, 5.Horses are not required to be jogged for soundness, but may be jogged at management’s discretion. Zone Awards will be presentedannually to the Adult Amateur Hunter 18-35 section and to the Adult Amateur Hunter 36 and over section.

Children’s Hunter Pony: Children’s Hunter Pony classes are for exhibitors under the age of 18 showing ponies. To be judged on performance, soundness,manners, way of going, and suitability. Suitability (size) of pony to rider is of particular importance. The Small/Medium Children’sHunter Ponies are to show over fences at 2’ and Large Children’s Hunter Ponies are to show over fences at 2’6”. The section may bedivided at managements’ discretion. The Children’s Hunter section may be combined with the Children’s Hunter Pony section whenthere are less than three entries in either section. Rider age restrictions as found in “Regular Pony” sections do not apply. Riders mayshow only one pony in either the 2’ or the 2’6” height of the Children’s Hunter Pony section when also competing in the “Regular”Small, Medium or Large Pony and/or Green Pony Hunter sections.. Riders cannot cross enter into any class where fences exceed3’3”. Exception: Riders may show in Pony Jumpers. Ponies exhibiting in Children’s Hunter Pony may cross enter into any classwhere otherwise eligible.Note: The pony may only be shown by one rider in the Children’s Hunter Pony Classic and that rider must be declared prior to the firstround of the Classic. Pre-Green Hunter: A Pre-Green Hunter is a horse of any age in its first or second year of showing over fences 3’ or 3’3” orhigher at Regular Member Competitions or Eventing Competitions of the Federation or Equine Canada or any NationalCompetition. A horse’s Pre-Green status is not affected by showing as a 4 year old or younger. A horse competing in a Pre-Green class may not compete in a class with fences over 3’3” at the same show. To be judged onperformance, soundness, manners, way of going, and suitability. Fences at either 3’ or 3’3”. The Pre-Green Hunter section may bedivided by height of fences and pinned as one section or offered and pinned as two sections. Horses are not required to be jogged forsoundness, but may be jogged at management’s discretion. Points for Zone Awards earned in a hunter classic will be awarded asfollows: 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 6, 5. Zone Awards will be presented annually to the Pre-Green Hunter 3’ section and the Pre-GreenHunter 3’3” section.

Adult Amateur Hunter/Children’s Hunter/Children’s Hunter Pony/Pre-Green Hunter Classic: Any USEF “A” “B” or “C” rated competition which offers an Adult Amateur Hunter, Children’s Hunter, Children’s Hunter Pony or Pre-Green Hunter division may also offer a corresponding Classic in accordance with HU146, with the following exceptions;1.) Bonus points for Zone Horse of the Year Awards will be awarded as follows: 1st - 35, 2nd - 30, 3rd - 25, 4th - 20, 5th - 15, 6th - 10,

7th - 6, 8th – 5;2.) Entries may be jogged at management’s discretion;3.) Riders are not required to wear formal attire;4) $500 in money is required; 5.) Entry fee restrictions are inapplicable; and6.) A Classic must be conducted as a two round class. A designated class of the specified Hunter section may be counted as the first

round of the Classic. The second round of the Classic must not be a part of a Hunter section. Each round of a Classic is to count50%. Classics may be combined

Children’s/Adult Amateur Jumper: Open to horses and ponies. The combination horse/rider and rider are not eligible to compete in any jumper class above 1.15m(3’9”) at the same show. Once a horse/rider combination has competed over 1.15m (3’9”), the same horse/rider combinationcannot show in a Children/Adult Jumper Classic offering $2,500 or more for 30 days. A rider may show only one additional horse inthe Children’s/Adult Amateur Jumper division in addition to those horses owned or USEF leased by the rider. Fences at 1.10m or3’6” to 1.15m (3’9”).

By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the

Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or

Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and

agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of The United States

Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the "Federation") and the local rules of the competition. I

agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and the competition. I will

accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the

Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the Federation, their

officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that

I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the rules, and every horse I am entering is

eligible as entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of

acceptance of entry, the Federation and/or the competition may use or assign

photographs, videos, audios, cable-casts, or other likenesses of me and my horse

taken during the course of the competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the

competition, sport, or the Federation. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a

product and they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. I

General Information / Rules and RegulationsCONDITIONS OF COMPETITION

USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENTLife, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in allclasses at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level orabove and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Rein-ing and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participateas a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Compe-titions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions andCombined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 nonmember registrationfee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements ofthis rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H mem-bers; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited tohorses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pasde deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Oppor-tunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of currentmembership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginnernovice division; and 11) assistant handlers in DressageSport Horse Breeding classes.

The Horse Show Management reserves the right to itself to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to, or arising out of, or incident to, the Show without claims fordamages or recourse of any kind. All questions not covered in these Rules and

Regulations shall be decided by Show Management, its decision to be final.

The Horse Show Management reserves to itself the right to refuse, accept conditionally,or to cancel any entries, disqualify any riders or exhibitors, prohibit exhibition of entries,and cancel award prizes, without claim for damages; to change any course, to cancel orcombine any classes, or to reschedule classes after due notice to exhibitors; to changerings or rotate judges; use dotted line; and to change the specifications in jumper classesas competition warrants.

Every horse entered herein for competition will be under control of the Show Management, but the Show Management will in no case be responsible for any loss ordamage that may occur, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall holdthe Horse Show, officials, employees, Officers, Director, Sponsors, and Facility Ownersblameless for any loss or accident to his horse(s), employees, or equipment. All ownersand exhibitors shall be responsible for any damage incurred by them, their agents or employees, to stalls, buildings and other properties on the showgrounds, and shall bebilled accordingly. STALL DOOR REMOVAL $50.00.

STALLS: 400 permanent stalls, 12' x 10', with doors will be available at Brownland FarmShow Center at a cost of $200.00 per stall, beginning Monday before the show starts.NO INITIAL BEDDING IS PROVIDED. Stalls are assigned strictly on a first come firstserved basis, and WILL NOT be reserved without payment! PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE ENTRY DEADLINE OR STALLS WILL BE CANCELED. As aservice to our customers, we will “split” tack stalls between accounts if notified beforenoon Friday. NO REFUNDS ON STALL CANCELLATIONS.

ENTRIES: Entries close 14 days before each show series starts. After this time all entries willpay a $50 Late Fee. All jumpers should be declared for their classes no later than 1 hour afterlast jumper class is completed on the day preceding. Only complete entries will be processed andconsidered qualified for pre-entry status. Incomplete entries will be placed on a stand-by status. Tobe complete, the entry form must contain the following:1) All stall, paddock, and camper fees 2) All jumper nomination fees3) Names of horses, owners, riders, and trainers4) Divisions/classes entered5) Phone numbers of owners/trainersNumbers will not be issued to competitors without full payment or a signed open check; pres-entation of all Measurement cards; and Amateur credentials; a copy of negative coggins testwill be provided to the horse show office, and completion of an IRS W-9 Form for all owners ofhorses competing in any division offering over $1,000 in prize money. Amateur status adultsshowing in adult amateur or amateur owner classes must show their amateur certifica-tion to the show secretary before numbers will be issued. A $45 office fee will be chargedall horses. There are no scratch/add fees. Each horse entered for competition will be as-sessed a $7.00 Drug fee and, $8.00 USEF fee forwarded to the USEF.

DIVISION / SECTION: A division will not be split unless there are 4 or more entries for eachsection. A division will not be held unless there are at least 4 entries.

SCRATCHES: Scratches must be made in the office on the official add/scratch form. Once the class has begun, scratches will not be honored.

REFUNDS: Before the entry deadline all fees will be refunded. After the entry deadline, stall fees,nomination fees, and camper fees cannot be refunded. Class entry fees will be refunded upon pres-entation of a proper vet certificate to the show manager . Division entry fees cannot be refundedonce the horse has exhibited in the first class of the division.

CHECK OUT: Any horse show bills not checked out at the conclusion of each show will be as-sessed a $50 fee for check out. Any mistakes at checkout must be resolved within 24 hours.

NON-NEGOTIABLE CHECKS: Checks returned by the bank for any reason will be assessed a penalty of $25 or 10% of the check amount, whichever is greater. Upon notification of a returned check, accounts will be given three (3)days to make full payment including the penalty, which must be paid in certified funds, cashier’s check ormoney order. Overnight mail service is advised in order to avoid notification of the sanctioningorganizations for disciplinary action.

COGGINS TEST: Tennessee State Law requires that owners/agents of all horses on theshowgrounds must have proof of current negative coggins, and provide a copy of documentsfor the Horse Show office and a copy with the horse at all times.

NON STABLING & GROUNDS FEES: There is a $40 fee for Horses without a stall and dayhaulers that are competing in the show. There is a $40 per day fee for non-showing competi-tors that ship into school their horse.

SCHOOLING : Tuesday there will be a ticketed warm up. Dismounted, hand-walking may bepermitted before the show starts each day, AT MANAGEMENT’S DISCRETION.

HARD HATS: HARD HATS MUST BE WORN WHEN MOUNTED

POLING: NO MANUAL POLING OR OFFSETS ALLOWED ON BROWNLAND FARMSHOWGROUNDS!

MOTORIZED VEHICLES GR1301.7Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized ve-hicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle ofany kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicleson the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary li-cense may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompaniedby an adult with a valid driver’s license. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctionsagainst the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child commit-ting the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/ortrainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and chargesbeing filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairsand other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.

REFRIGERATORS: No refrigerators allowed in stable area.

DOGS: ZERO TOLERANCE FOR LOOSE DOGS. All dogs must be leashed. Any animal run-ning loose will be impounded by the show, owner identified and fined $100.00 per incident on theshow account. The owner of any dog which disrupts a competitor’s round in the ring will be re-quired to reimburse said competitor for their entry fees FOR THE ENTIRE DIVISION.

STARTERS, JUMP ORDERS AND CONFLICTS: A rotating jump order will, at management’sdirection, be established for jumping classes. Rings will not be held to wait for horses and/orriders. Riders who anticipate a conflict must arrange their order of go so as to avoid causing adelay. Trainer conflicts will not be recognized. Starters have the authority to scratch riders whoare untimely WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE STEWARD OR SHOW MANAGER.

NON-SHOWING HORSES: Non-showing horses will be charged a non-showing fee of $100per horse.

CAMPER HOOKUPS: Limited number available on grounds. The cost is $225.00 Must bepaid in advance. Assigned on a first paid, first served basis.

TURNOUT PADDOCKS: Limited number available. Cost is $225 for the entire week. Horsesmay not be turned out without first contacting the stable supervisor and receiving your pad-dock assignment. No more than one horse per paddock.

RADIOS: Barns who use hand held radios that are on the show radio frequency, or that inter-fere with show radios in any way will be required to discontinue the use of their radios duringshow hours.

FEED & BEDDING: Feed, Hay and Baled shavings will be available on the showgrounds andmay be charged to your horse’s account if an open check is left in the office. Bag shavingsmay be ordered in advance by contacting the stabling supervisor. Pre-show orders will only bedelivered to pre-paid stalls. Management will not be responsible for loss of bedding before ar-rival.

FOOTING AND RINGS: The footing is a mixture of limestone and sand. Three of the showrings are 275' by 135' , The Grand Prix ring is 330' by 192', Jumper ring is 300’ by 200’ . Thefooting is the same in all rings.

PRIZE MONEY: Prize money will be applied to your horse’s account only. NO MONIES WILL BE AWARDED TO OWNERS WHO HAVE NOT PROVIDED THE SHOWOFFICE WITH THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS, ADDRESSES, AND A SIGNED W-9FORM IF REQUESTED. PRIZE MONEY WILL BE AWARDED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THECLOSE OF THE COMPETITION.

CHAMPIONSHIPS: Champion and Reserve will be awarded in all Hunter divisions except schooling; and in the Modified, Jr/AO, Children’s, and Adult Jumper Divisions. Champi-onships will be awarded to two of the top four horses or ponies scoring the most points overfences. In addition, only these horses or ponies will receive full points for ribbons won inunder saddle and half-points for ribbons won in the model (full points for Regular Conformation Model).

Open to all Junior members of the USEF and CEF who have never competed in a Na-tional Equitation Final with fences at 3’6" (i.e.; USEF. Medal; ASPCA Maclay; USET; CETor CEF Finals; WIHS Capital Cup). Riders may not compete in the SHOW CIRCUITMAGAZINE National Children’s Medal Finals and any final with fences at 3’6" in the same year. To be shown over a minimum of eight fences 2’9" to 3' in height, spread not toexceed fence height. The course may be either a Jumper or Hunter type course and mustinclude at least two changes of direction and a combination. Water obstacles (i.e.; waterjump, liverpool) are not permitted. The top four riders, or 20% of the first round competi-tors, whichever is greater, are required to perform at least two individual tests from USEFTests 1-19. An Open Numerical Scoring System must be used in the first round, with eachrider’s score announced at the completion of their round. At least six Ribbons shall beawarded in each qualifying class. The riders who will be invited to compete in the finalswill be chosen as follows; the high point rider in each of the regional areas will be invited,along with the top 21 riders from the National Standings list for the qualifying period. Any unfilled slots will be chosen by continuing down the National Standings list. There will be no entry fee for the finals.
