    Operation of the Safety

    If it is desired to load a round into the cham berprior to lo ad ing th e magazin e, th e fo l1Qwingsteps should be taken. First, be sure the crossbolt safety is in the ON SAFE position. H old thegun on its side w ith the barrel pointing safelydownward w ith either hand at the rear of thefo re arm , a s d escrib ed ea rlier.     Once again, place the rifle ON SA FE and be surethe m uzzle is pointed in a safe direction.
