Brother Dwaine, It is I who owe you a debt of gratitude. Thank you! I wish to remain anonymous. Please don’t try to find me. I know that it has always been your dream to own a Martin. I also know, being the person that you are, that you would sell such a guitar in order to help others. Always thinking more of others than yourself, I have contemplated for some time on how to give you such a gift. In the case you will find a 2005 Martin D-45S that I wish for you to play until the day you die. At which point I ask that you hand it (and it’s story) down to someone that you cherish and trust to play it until the day that they will die. You will notice one strange thing about the guitar; Childishly, I have altered the serial number (forgive me) so that it would prevent the sale to anyone buying it second hand. I want YOU to enjoy this guitar for the rest of your days. The altered serial number will currently appear as a 1945 Martin D-45S which is obviously incorrect. I have had the first digit of the serial number

Brother Dwaine,

It is I who owe you a debt of gratitude. Thank you! I wish to remain anonymous. Please dont try to find me. I know that it has always been your dream to own a Martin. I also know, being the person that you are, that you would sell such a guitar in order to help others. Always thinking more of others than yourself, I have contemplated for some time on how to give you such a gift. In the case you will find a 2005 Martin D-45S that I wish for you to play until the day you die. At which point I ask that you hand it (and its story) down to someone that you cherish and trust to play it until the day that they will die. You will notice one strange thing about the guitar; Childishly, I have altered the serial number (forgive me) so that it would prevent the sale to anyone buying it second hand. I want YOU to enjoy this guitar for the rest of your days. The altered serial number will currently appear as a 1945 Martin D-45S which is obviously incorrect. I have had the first digit of the serial number removed. The serial number originally read 109XXXXXXXX. You can verify that this is a 2005 Martin D-45S if you wish on Martins website;

DO NOT thank me! Thank God. All is his and all returns to God. Use it during your time here on Earth to bless others, as I know you will.
