urban design associates Urban Design Associates, was retained in the spring of 2004 by the City of Jacksonville to produce a Neighbor- hood Strategy Plan for Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Neigh- borhood is located adjacent to Downtown Jacksonville. Brooklyn and Riverside Avenue, although side by side, are two different worlds. The goal of the Brooklyn Neighborhood Strategy Plan is “to present a realizable vision of a vibrant mixed use dis- trict that would include housing, retail, and commercial.
