WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENTS

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

ndThe President of the 22 European Congress of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine 2020 and the

ndPresident of the European Society of PRM have a privilege and great pleasure to invite you to the 22

European Congress of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ESPRM 2020) will take place in Belgrade,

Serbia.

th ESPRM 2020 is the major PRM event happening in Europe in 2020. Parallel to it, 20 Annual Congress of

SAPRM will be held providing the participants with an opportunity to learn about the Serbian rehabilitation th rdsystem in more detail. The Congress will take place from 19 to 23 September 2020 at Hotel Crowne

Plaza, Belgrade.

The motto of this ESPRM Congress 2020 is , since health st“Rehabilitation: Key for health in the 21 Century”stsystems in the 21 century face new challenges, as people live longer and with a higher degree of disability.

Therefore it is necessary to strengthen health systems to provide rehabilitation services that ensure people

not only live longer but live better.

This important scientific event is organized by the ESPRM and the SAPRM, in cooperation with the UEMS-

PRM Section and Board, the European Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine with the support of the Serbian

Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Medical Faculty University of Belgrade. The International Society of

PRM (ISPRM) and other international PRM Organizations, including the Cochrane Rehabilitation, the

Mediterranean Forum of PRM, the Baltic – Nordic Forum of PRM, the National Societies from Europe, will

also participate. We are very happy to be able to count on the experience of the colleagues that organized

previous European Congresses.

Sessions will be given by the top experts on Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine with an emphasis on

workshops, hands-on demonstrations and opportunities to meet and network. We will do our best to gain

active participation of the most prestigious European and International professionals with clinical

expertise and scientific recognition. The Associations of allied professionals and NGOs working on behalf of people with disabilities, will

participate in the congress to help analyze models of comprehensive rehabilitation.

We look forward to meeting you in Belgrade, 2020, where we are sure you will contribute significantly to the

success of the congress with your participation.
