!!!The cost of a translation project is calculated according to the number of words in the original text so that a quotation can be provided in advance and agreed with the customer before starting the translation process. The rate per word is always custom-tailored according to the following factors:

‣ Subject matter - How familiar the translator is with the subject.

‣ Level of specialisation - The amount of technical terminology.

‣ Urgency - Whether the translator needs to work outside her regular schedule.

‣ Format - Additional charges might be applied depending on the file type.

‣ Volume of words - Bulk discounts are offered for larger projects.

Editing, proofreading and revising projects are ordinarily charged by the hour, while transcription and subtitling projects are charged per minute of footage. However, alternative methods can be arranged subject to negotiation. The minimum fee for short projects is 20£.
