Isn’t it time to feel better? … to be longer, leaner, stronger. Imagine a workout program that you enjoy and anticipate, one that energizes you, and leaves you refreshed and rejuvenated—both physically and mentally. The Pilates Method of body conditioning is the ultimate body workout, and will help you do all of this and more! The Pilates Method is not just exercise. It is a series of controlled movements designed to develop strength, increase flexibility, and lengthen muscles while achieving total body awareness. It is a customized workout, utilizing Pilates equipment and mat work, that provides you with the stretching and breathing benefits of yoga and the strengthening benefits of weight training. Because your mind is required to engage with your body to perform the movements correctly, you experience a new awareness of muscle function and control. The Pilates Method of body conditioning was developed by Joseph Pilates over 70 years ago. The method emphasizes balance, control, focus, and stability. Energy to nourish the muscles is sus- tained through controlled breathing to improve function of the heart and lungs.
