WELCOME The Second International Congress on Renewable Energy and Efficiency in Mining is performed with the support and experience achieved with the development of the first congress a year ago. This summit aims to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences with international and national experts and leaders in the energy and mining sector, to promote energy efficiency and use of renewable energies (RE) in mining activities.

28 of the 40 word top mining corporations have already built or are in the process of doing so, smart systems for improving energy efficiency and the use of RE sources into their operations system, they are obtaining significant savings and reducing greenhouse gas emissions as part of their corporate social and environmental responsibility.

This time the Summit will last two days, the first day will take place with the "World Mining and Non-Conventional Renewable Energies Workshop" and the second day will be held by the Summit with a comprehensive program developed by 30 of the top experts on the subject offering specific better efficient and profitable solutions to the mining business.

The II International Congress of Energy Efficiency and Renewables for Mining is the most important specific summit in Peru of the subject and we invite you to participate and share together these extraordinary journeys where you will find innovative solutions to current and future challenges for the Peruvian mining. Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome Everyone!

TO WHOM THE EVENT IS ADDRESSED? Directed to supervisors, professionals and executives mining and energy sector; also addressed the leaders who supply equipment and NCRE technology solutions, investors and financial institutions, specialized consultants, academics and the public authorities in determining Renewables and Mining State policies.

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND THE EVENT? Since last 5 years, mining companies of 23 countries of five continents had improved renewable energy projects, they improve substantively their operational productivity. Knowing as mining country, Peru can’t be the exception of this mainstream market evolution. When you attend this event you will be able to acquire the required know how to improve your competitiveness due to the following reasons:

COST REDUCTIONThe future decrease of the mineral law will require more energy to produce the same amount of treated mineral.Renewables (Solar and Wind) are cheaper then other forms of production of electricity. Renewables save the payment of the mining carbon footprint.

SOCIAL RISKS REDUCTION Renewables facilitate the achievement and long term duration of social license.Renewables reduce political and administrative risks for mines.Renewables generate more job positions than other source of energy generation.Renewables provides healthy relationships with local communities.Renewables allow the developments of rural electrification projects within the communities.

ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS MITIGATION Renewables create lower environmental impacts then other types of energiesRenewables help mining to accomplish better the COP21 Paris commitments.Renewables don’t produce GHG emissions.Renewables facilitate the closure and mine reclamation processes.

BETTER KNOWLEDGE OF MARKET TRENDS Better knowledge of proven case applications for solar, wind, hydro, biomass and geothermal for mining at five continents. To learn about mechanisms for renewable energies financing in mining. To find out the renewables for mining application fields To discover new metals market niches for the world market renewables demands.
