    Current Project:

    MMR (Measles Mumps Rubella)Vaccination Project 2010

    Launched: April 7, 2010

    Where: Narnaul in the state of Haryana, located 100

    miles (160 km) southwest from New Delhi.

    Target: To provide MMR Vaccines to 4000 kids

    belonging to poor social-economic strata in a span of

    one year - April 2010 to March 2011.Staff

    Operations Manager (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife)Current Model:Mission India Foundation (MIF) distributes the VaccineCards (VCs) to the eligible population. The identificationand distribution system is carried out by our OperationsManager and volunteers. The parents have two optionsto get their children immunized free of cost:

    A. At MIFs Vaccination Clinic: The shots are given by aqualified nurse twice a week and during our weeklyvillage-visit.

    B. At a Pediatricians (Child Specialist) Clinic: The familytakes their children to a designated facility. Thevaccine is given free of cost. MIF pays for the cost ofthe vaccine.

    Future Projects:

    The vision for the future is to expand the childhoodvaccination project by including other vaccines and to awider geographical area in India.

    Governance:

    Mission India Foundation (MIF) is a US-based registerednot-for-profit organization. It is also recognized by theIRS (Internal Revenue Services) as a tax-exemptorganization (Federal Tax Identification # 26- 0725198)under the section 501 (c) (3).

    MIF has an excellent Board of Directors who comefrom different walks of life to work for the passion.

    Our organization is currently engaged in childhood immunization and vaccination projects inNarnaul region of Haryana state in India.

    Our mission is to improve childhood vaccinationcoverage to poor children, by filling the gap in providing

    select vaccines that are not accessible under theUniversal Immunization Program in India.

    G O A L S- To provide access to necessary vaccines to children in

    need to prevent diseases at free of cost or at highly

    subsidized rates because Vaccination is a childhood

    right for each and every child.

    - Health Education: about the importance of thesevaccines to the families and communities.

    O B J E C T I V E S1. To provide MMR vaccines to 4000 children in Narnaul

    region of Haryana in one year (April 2010- March 2011).

    2. To expand the MMR vaccination coverage to whole stateof Haryana by 2013.

    3.

    To take up other vaccines that are not otherwise given tochildren in a gradual manner and to expand vaccination in

    other states.
